New heat treating equipment to LEAX in Köping
Leax Group invests in additional hardening capacity through a High-frequency (HF) hardening machine from Steremat, Germany. With this investment LEAX expands their range of processes so that details with lower case depth, up to till 3 mm, can be treated. LEAX Group has previously four low frequency (LF) hardening machines treating parts with high case depth, up to 15 mm.
The investment gives us and our customers several logistic advantages and by reducing our need of transportation, it harmonizes with LEAX´s environmental goals.
An alkali washer as well as a tempering furnace have also been purchased together with the hardening machine.
There are hereby two possibilities to temper the details, by induction directly in the machine or alternatively by batches in the furnace. The choice of method depends on the demands of the detail.
