Now LEAX starts taking over Scania Falun
On Friday 1st LEAX starts taking over the production from Scania Falun. At the first step it is about a third of the agreed production that goes over to LEAX. Therefore there will be approximately 30 persons that change their employer to LEAX. The remaining parts will be taken over during the autumn of 2007.
“Now we have been planning this overtaking during a long time, so it feels good to get started”, says Jan Geier, President for LEAX Falun AB. “We get the opportunity to get started with a part of the production at the beginning and then to be able to continue with a hundred percent in the autumn.”
It is parts of Scania Faluns production within machining that LEAX takes over. “Through this acquisition we broaden our product portfolio and at the same time we get access to parts of Scanias work within Lean Production. We see great developing possibilities in Falun”, continues Jan Geier.
