LEAX arranges transport for help shipment to Latvia

 

A couple of weeks ago LEAX was contacted by a volunteer from NEAA who asked if we could help them to transport a help shipment to Rezekne in Latvia. LEAX Baltix has got one of their two factories there. We  naturally promised to look into it and the result was that the first help shipment was sent with LEAX´s help on Wednesday 10th of December. This shipment was crucial in order to make life bearable for the children during the winter of 2008 and 2009. To further help these children a collection of things was starded at LEAX and many people from LEAX donated mainly clothes which they were no longer in need of. That was very appreciated indeed by NEAA, who say that every little donation is extremely valuable!

 

NEAA, Never Ever Alone Again, is a Swedish non-profit organization who looks out for the most exposed and vulnerable poor children in the world. They help and support children on the streets, orphanages and children in extremely poor families. At the moment they have two help projects on the go, one in Venezuela and one in Latvia. The project in Latvia lies in the Rezekne area in the eastern part of Latvia and was initiated in the autumn of 2008.
