Investment of hardening in LEAX Baltix
During year 2007 LEAX Group has built up a hardening competence to increase our sites´ competitiveness and in order to offer a full service engagement. We have since long time offered induction hardening. In order to be efficient and reduce the influence on the environment when transporting, LEAX now invests in hardening in-house at our Pinki factory, outside of Riga, in Latvia. The capacity at start will be at least 1500 tonnes per year. The process will have full traceability and the possibility to verify hardening results. LEAX Baltix also offers pre-, and after treatment and assembly of hardened products. Due to to this investment we will now have the possibility to deliver complete articles including hardening. The facility is planned to be up and running by the summer of 2009.
