GENERPRO GOES HEAVY - THE WORLDS BIGGEST 2-POLE ROTOR LEFT VÄSTERÅS ON SATURDAY 17th of November 2007.
GenerPro has performed a refurbishment project on the world’s largest 2-pole rotor. This is done together with our German customer SENSOPLAN AG on an extremely short outage time.
This rotor weighs more than 110 ton and has been refurbished by exchange of components and balancing, high speed testing, in our large test facility where we balance the rotor within acceptable vibration criteria’s. This workshop is one of few in northern Europe that can handle such heavy bodies in high speed.
It is a prestigious project for both of our companies due to the short throughput time. This requires great technical skills together with quick decision-making. The Railroad in and out of our workshop has been reinforced to enable this transport back and forth to Germany in a highly environmental friendly way.
